This website

  • The company that hosts the site keeps server logs. Every web server does. A log entry usually has the address a request came from, the time, what was asked for, and which browser asked. Those logs belong to the host and are kept under the host's policy.
  • Other companies serve part of the page. The typefaces, for instance. Your browser fetches those files from someone else's server, so that company sees your address and what it sent you.
  • We may use measurement tools. Most businesses do. They show how people find a site and which pages get read.

When you call or email us

We keep what you tell us, because we need it to do the work and to answer questions later. Your name. The number or email you contacted us from. The address, what happened there, and whatever you tell us about insurance, tenancy, or who else is involved.

We do not sell any of it, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not hand it to lead brokers or referral networks.

Information about your property

Doing this work properly means making a record of it. Photographs before and after, a written scope, a list of what came out, and the disposal paperwork. You will usually need that record for an insurer or an estate, which is why it exists.

Who sees it

  • You. You get the documentation for every job, whether anyone else asks for it or not.
  • Your insurer or adjuster, if you have asked us to work with them on a claim. They get the scope, the photographs, and the disposal records that back it up. Nothing else.
  • Anyone you tell us to. A landlord, a family member, an attorney, an executor. We need that in writing. A phone call from someone who says they are your attorney is not enough.
  • The disposal facility, which gets waste manifests describing the material. Those name us as the generator. They do not name you.

Who does not

We do not publish photographs of a job, and we do not put them in advertising, on social media, or in anything we hand a prospective client. The exception is written permission from you for that specific use, and even then we take out whatever identifies the property or the person. Consent to the work is not consent to publish it.

We also will not tell a neighbor, a reporter, or anyone else who calls that we were at a particular address, or what we found there. The answer is that we do not discuss our work.

If a court orders it, that is different. A subpoena, a warrant, or a coroner's or law enforcement request made under legal authority can compel the record. We will comply with a valid one. Where we are permitted to tell you that it happened, we will.

The records we keep

We hold on to the job file. It is there so the work can be accounted for later, usually for an insurance claim, an estate, or a property manager asking about a unit.

Ask how we handle the paperwork on your job and we will walk you through it. What gets recorded, who receives it, how it is kept.

What you can ask for

  • A copy of what we hold about you and your property.
  • A correction, if something in the record is wrong.
  • Deletion of the record, where we are not required to keep it and no claim is still open.
  • That we keep photography to what the paperwork actually needs. Tell us before we start.

Call (859) 492-6284 or email kybioclean@gmail.com. We will not ask you why.
